Tappara’s championship season produced a record turnover

Tappara’s financial year last season was on the plus side.

Tamhockey Group’s net sales in the fiscal year ending on April 30, 2023 was 17.2 million euros, Tappara says with its announcement. The operating profit for the accounting period was 0.3 million euros. Turnover increased by 4.8 million euros from last year.

According to the release, playing a full season at Nokia Arena, the team’s sporting success and the compensation received from the NHL contributed to the growth of the financial year’s turnover. Ticket sales, corporate sales and fan product sales also grew significantly.

Although the turnover increased significantly, the operating profit remained moderate due to the increased number of matches, CHL travel costs and player expenses increased by the championship bonuses. The result is still significant for the team.

– A lot of changes have taken place in Tappara and we are working hard to maintain and develop our position as a pioneer of hockey sports in Finland. Our vision is for Tappara to be Finland’s most valuable, international sports entertainment brand, CEO of Tamhockey Mika Aro with a notice.

Last season was a sporting success for Tappara. The team won its second consecutive Finnish championship and won the CHL championship for the first time in its history.
