Tappara broke KooKoo

Tappara is rolling over KooKoo. The second match played in Kouvola was already 0-5 after half time and finally ended 1-6.

Tappara’s main strikers were effective: Niko Ojamäki 2+2, Jori Lehterä 1+2, Walter Merelä 1+2 and Anton Levtchi 2+0.

– At the beginning, we weren’t at the level required by the game, but goals bring energy, coach Jussi Tapola rib.

– If we can’t do our best, KooKoo will take this series.

KooKoo was sharp in the beginning and created a few good paint spots.

– The first period was quite good hockey from us, but the result was completely unruly (0–2), coach Olli Salo crystallized.

– When 0–3 came with the upper hand, then the end was perhaps a bit fathers against sons. We couldn’t find the mood to start a fight anymore.

The series continues already on Tuesday in Tampere.

– Surely KooKoo will improve, Tapola predicts.
