Shoe retailer Tamaris opens its first location in Paris.
The approximately 130 square meter store is located near the Opéra metro station, the brand, which belongs to the German shoe group Wortmann Group, announced on Monday. On the facade of the historic building above the shop entrance there is a large LED wall that serves as outdoor advertising. Tamaris’ showroom is also located in the same building.
“A stationary store still offers the unique opportunity to experience a brand with all your senses and to interact directly with it. Our stated goal is to optimally exploit the advantages of both worlds – digital and stationary – and to combine them to create a seamless shopping experience,” explains Cathleen Burghardt, Head of Marketing at Tamaris. “The Paris flagship sets a new course for Tamaris’ in-store shopping experience and represents an important strategic investment in the future of the brand.”
Expansion in France
France is one of the most important expansion markets for Tamaris, which is to be promoted with the opening in Paris, explains Gwenael Le Gouallec, Country Manager for Tamaris in France. For this and other French stores, the brand works with Groupe SMC, which operates the locations.
