Tallon Greek track has improved his best position ever in the world ranking. The 26-year-old North Hollander climbed to 40th place thanks to reaching the semi-finals at the ABN AMRO Open, a jump of 21 positions compared to last week. Greek track had the 44th place as the highest ranking.
He reached that position in August last year. Due to a disappointing end of the season, the Greek track almost fell out of the top 100. He started this season as number 95 in the world, but immediately rose more than thirty places in January by winning the ATP tournament in Pune in India.
It meant his first title on the ATP Tour for Greek track. He then reached the third round of the Australian Open and last week the last four in Ahoy.

Botic van de Zandschulp is still the first Dutchman in the world ranking, but he sees Greek track approaching. The 27-year-old Veenendaler lost in Rotterdam in the second round to the Russian Daniil Medvedev. Van de Zandschulp rose one place, from 35 to 34.Greekspoor and Van de Zandschulp both participate in the ATP tournament in Doha this week.
Gijs Brouwer, who reached the quarterfinals in Ahoy with a wildcard and had to lose out to the Greek track, climbed 44 places and passed Tim van Rijthoven in the world ranking. Brouwer is now in 116th place, Van Rijthoven dropped to 122.
Medvedev won the ABN AMRO Open and returned to the top 10. The former world ranking captain is now eighth. Losing finalist Jannik Sinner from Italy climbed from fourteenth to twelfth place. The Serbian Novak Djokovic leads the ranking.
