Greek track had beaten Munar earlier this year in Pune, India, to win that tournament a few days later, but this time he had to give up. After a medical time-out, the Greek track did go back on track and he even managed a tiebreak. When it was lost 7-3, the Dutchman decided to stop the fight.

A day later, Greek track announced that it had not suffered any muscle damage, as it turned out that same evening in a Spanish hospital. The number 2 in the Netherlands returns to the Netherlands for further investigation. “Further investigations in the Netherlands are needed. But everything, like the muscles, is fine. So we don’t know much more yet, it’s a matter of waiting,” said coach Kristof Vliegen. After the weekend, the Greek track will be further investigated in the Netherlands, according to the Belgian coach.

The masters tournament in Rome will start on May 10. The Greek track has not yet signed off for this. Roland Garros will start on Sunday, May 28.
