The Walking Dead spin-off is reportedly set to start filming on January 18, 2022. Tales Of The Walking Dead will consist of six episodes, with each episode telling its own short story. Both new and well-known characters will be at the center of the storyline.
Shooting takes place in Buford, Georgia. Filming is expected to last 53 days. The setting consists of a Mexican restaurant and a small supermarket.
Channing Powell, who co-produced and wrote The Walking Dead, will serve as showrunner on the new series. She will be assisted by Scott Gimple, the show’s programming manager.
The show aims to appeal to old fans and attract new viewers
Commenting on the new series, producer Dan McDermott said: “There is such great potential for different rich and compelling storytelling in this world and the anthology series format of ‘Tales Of The Walking Dead’ will give us the opportunity to attract long-time fans entertain and also provide an entry point for new viewers”.

Meanwhile, Fear The Walking Dead Season 8 is currently in production. Another spin-off series of the franchise is also in the pipeline. Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) will be the focus of the story.
