AZ has to do without Fedde de Jong this season. The talented midfielder leaves for the relegated Cambuur Leeuwarden and put his scribble under a three-year commitment.
Fedde de Jong mainly played his matches for Young AZ. He came out almost eighty times for the U23 team. Twenty-year-old Uitgeest also made minutes in the Alkmaar main force. For example, he made his debut last July against Tuzla City in the preliminary round of the Conference League and scored right away in that substitution.. De Jong was allowed to appear twice in the competition, including a base place at home against FC Groningen.

De Jong also won the Youth League with AZ last season. In the 5-0 final against Hadjuk Split, he played the entire match.
