The Telgte-based textile discounter Takko Fashion was able to grow strongly in the 2022/23 financial year, which ended at the end of January, despite adverse conditions. The company announced on Thursday that the adjusted net sales had reached a level of around 1.22 billion euros and thus a new record value in the company’s history. Compared to the previous year, revenues increased by 17 percent.
The operating profit also significantly exceeded the previous year’s level. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased by 26 percent to EUR 156 million.
CEO Tjeerd Jegen was correspondingly satisfied: “We are proud of the results we have achieved in a challenging year. This was only possible thanks to our customers and our teams across Europe,” he emphasized in a statement.
Jegen was also optimistic about the near future. “We are confident that we can further drive and accelerate the growth of Takko Fashion through the further consistent implementation of our strategic projects as well as investments in our store network, digital transformation and the growth of our e-commerce business,” he explained.
