Take the skates out of the grease: it’s going to freeze!

The weather will change significantly in the coming days: it will stop raining (!) and it will be cold. Next week you can skate on flooded meadows and other natural ice rinks.

Weatherman Wouter van Bernebeek from Weerplaza can be brief about it as Koen Wijn from the morning program Wakker! asks if we can skate next week: “I think so.”

According to Van Bernebeek, it will still be very wet and mild on Wednesday at 12 degrees. “But that is going to change. Thursday and Friday are transition days, but from the weekend onwards it will be dry and a lot colder. The wind then turns to the northeast and there is quite a bit of cold there.”

Next week it will be quite freezing at night. “At night it can be -5, -6 or -7 and during the day it also remains below zero. And then you can quickly skate on all those flooded meadows and ice rinks.”
