of HPK Danick Martel got sent off in the last seconds of the match in the SM league on Friday.
A penalty was already coming for Martel, but 5+20 minutes was whistled for a high stick. The gold helmet of the team from Hämeenlinna would make KalPa laugh Saku Salmela with a bat in the face outside of a game situation.
Salmela got upset and tried to take a neck loop from Martel. The situation caused some noise.
The HPK star, looking surprised, was taken to the ice box, where he spread his arms. There was uncertainty in the hall about the continuation of the match, because according to C More’s announcer, there were still eight tenths left in the Game Clock.
Some of the players shook hands in the middle area, and the people of Hämeenlinna already left the field. After a moment of deliberation, the match was put into the package.
KalPa won 3–0 and ended its three-game losing streak.
