Tahmina Akefi gossip seems true: ‘Former NOS boss confirms everything’

Tahmina Akefi, the controversial last girlfriend of Peter R. de Vries, is said to have harassed a female colleague during her time at the NOS. “Hans Laroes, former NOS boss, confirms that.”

The discredited Tahmina Akefi, who is accused of exploiting her love story with Peter R. de Vries and lying about their relationship, has misbehaved considerably in her years as an editor at the NOS – from 2007 to 2011. At least, that’s what juice queen Yvonne Coldeweijer says. But what does the then editor-in-chief say?

Tahmina’s Bullying Notes

Tahmina is not pure coffee, Yvonne tells in her podcast The Juice Show. “So I heard from a spy who also works at the NOS that the entire editorial staff there is not pleased with Tahmina, because for years she apparently harassed and stalked a female colleague there because she would have been in love with that colleague her boyfriend. ”

What did Tahmina eat? “So she apparently had very nasty and threatening notes in the ladies’ room, which is of course very bad. That’s kind of bullying. It even seems to have risen so high that at one point the ‘victim’ noticed that a montage of hers had been adjusted. (…) It was sabotaged to take that colleague.”

For that reason, Tahmina would eventually have been fired from the broadcaster.

‘Hans Laroes confirms’

Media journalist Mark Koster, Yvonne’s co-host, checked this with Hans Laroes. He retired as editor-in-chief of the NOS in early 2011. “After some questioning, he confirmed that she – and that is news to me – has been warned, has been reprimanded for the actions you describe in that note affair.”

Mark continues: “I said, ‘Is it nonsense about those notes?’ He said, “No, that’s not bullshit,” but he won’t give any details about it. So Hans Laroes confirms it to me. I also appreciate that he does not deny that.”

mortal sin

And what about the changes in the editing? This turns out to be due to changes in the script, Mark continues. “That is a mortal sin. Only the editor-in-chief is allowed to do that, especially just before the broadcast. So based on that, what you say, that dismissal would have followed, and that is also confirmed internally by the people at the NOS.”

He continues: “If we peel it off, we first have Hans Laroes who confirms that she has been reprimanded because of those notes, the second confirmation from another source is that she has been messing around in that script. I heard that that happened and that she would have been fired because of it. So we have two sources for that.”

What does the NOS say?

According to Mark, the current NOS editor-in-chief Marcel Gelauff does not want to say anything about the affair. “I’m not going to say anything about it,” he says.

The broadcaster says in an official response: “We never make announcements about the employment relationship with individual (former) employees, so not now.”

According to Mark, however, there are already enough confirmations. “So your story stands. That of those notes is true.”
