Ridouan Taghi has reported the violation of official secrecy by employees of the Extra Secure Institution (EBI) in Vught, the Public Prosecution Service or the police. His lawyer Inez Weski confirms this following a message from Het Parool. The lawyer ‘must conclude that lawyers are being wiretapped and there must have been leaked from the judiciary or the ECI’.
According to Weski, the information was leaked to De Telegraaf and VVD MP Ulysse Ellian, “who subsequently connect all kinds of incorrect innuendo to the leaked information”. Ellian and De Telegraaf reported last month that Taghi and Mohammed B. sent each other letters with Koran verses, which may contain coded messages. Weski informed the Minister Franc Weerwind (Legal Protection) and the EBI to investigate this.
There is also a report of forgery on behalf of Taghi against the EBI, “but we are not making any substantive announcements about this yet,” said Weski.
Taghi is the main suspect in the extensive liquidation process of Marengo and resides in the EBI.
