In the second home game it should finally work!
After three season games in the 2nd league bottom of the table Hertha against Fürth (1 p.m., Sky and in the BZ live ticker) wants to celebrate again without a point or a goal.
Coach Pal Dardai (47): “In terms of sport, I expect that we’ll go on like we did in Düsseldorf or against Wiesbaden.” The Berliners lost both games almost 0:1, but showed an appealing attack in contrast to the total loss at 0:3 in Hamburg Perfomance.
Dardai: “I expect degrees, moves, courage. The boys should play with the ball with fun and joy. I finally want to count the goals in the Olympic Stadium, not in training.”
Tabakovic with starting eleven guarantee
Haris Tabakovic (29) in particular should get the redeeming goal. Coach Dardai gave the Swiss a starting eleven guarantee – despite his pitch-black evening at HSV when the attacker didn’t even have a shot on goal.
Dardai explains: “We were both surprised by the game in Hamburg, but it wasn’t just his fault. I’m always consistent with a centre-forward. When I have made the decision for someone, they get my trust.”
Means: The recovered Florian Niederlechner (32) and storm access Smail Prevljak (28) have to queue at the back. Psychologist Dardai: “They are all artists. It’s not okay to let someone else play every week.”
Instead, Dardai is now publicly backing Tabakovic – and was looking for a one-on-one interview during training: “I talked to him. The Bundesliga is different, more physical. I gave him a few tips.”
Tabakovic wants to implement this quickly. He proved that the offensive man can snap with Austria Wien when he scored 15 times in 15 second half games before moving to Berlin.
And it also worked for Hertha in the 5-0 cup win in Jena – now finally in the league too?
