On the Promenade in Zoetermeer’s Stadshart it seems as if the T-Mobile store has disappeared. But nothing could be further from the truth: T-Mobile will continue under a new name, which means the stores in the Netherlands have been adjusted.

Telephone company T-Mobile has merged with subsidiary Tele2. Together they continue under a new name: Odido. In a major conversion operation, all 119 stores throughout the Netherlands were converted into an Odido store in 48 hours. The store in the Stadshart is also ‘complete’.
Working Clothes
The staff at all branches recently received the new name. At the same time, new company clothing was also distributed. Everything with the names and logos of T-Mobile and Tele2 can go in the trash, from now on it will only be Odido.
Meaning Odido
Then there’s the new name, Odido. What does that mean? It’s not an abbreviation or acronym and it doesn’t mean anything. If you google Odido, you will arrive at one Polish supermarket in The Hague, a number of small businesses and a surname in Nigeria. And from now on also a telecom company with around eight million customers.
