t-low apologizes for splash disaster

Playing at Splash as a young aspiring rapper without much concert experience can be quite a challenge. Especially after two years of the corona pandemic, some rappers who became known during this time are still strangers to the big concert stages. It would have been advisable for the new chart wonder t-low to gain experience on the country’s small stages first. Then perhaps there would not have been such a performance as at the Red Weekend of the Splash Festival 2022 last weekend.

t-low at Splash 2022: full playback and offbeat

The disaster started when at least twenty of t-low’s cronies danced around the rapper on stage, nipping any attempt at a rousing performance in the bud. But that was the least of the evils of the performance.

t-low played his show in full playback – which in itself is a bit of a shame, but not entirely exceptional either. However, the fact that t-low didn’t even have the microphone near his mouth while his lines were being played through the loudspeakers seemed a bit amateurish. But it always got really embarrassing when t-low tried to rap himself. Because: Either the rapper couldn’t really be heard at all, or it was so off the track that the sound was really terrible.

Understandably, the fans didn’t like this performance at all. After all, they could quickly change the stage at the Splash and instead watch the performances of the artists playing at the same time. In the YouTube comments on the performance, the mockery, but also the disappointment is great. Of a “real studio rapper“, the “offbeat” one “Mini Playback Show“ performed, which not even in the “Youth house in front of 15 people“ would go through, is the speech there. Individual users also protect the rapper. So t-low probably suffered from tonsillitis in the run-up to the performance, and the technology was badly adjusted. In fact, it seems as if the microphone was much too quiet.

t-low has evolved meanwhile apologized on Instagram for his appearance. The 21-year-old wrote in his story: “I’m sorry. Blue Weekend will be different”. The Splash Blue Weekend will take place next weekend (07/07 – 07/09). t-low will play from 10pm to 10:45pm on Friday. Will the visitors give him a second chance?
