By Anne Losensky

How a Syrian refugee girl (15) was sold as a sex slave until she managed to escape through a john.

Film on the big screen in room 700 of the criminal court. You can see a child’s room in the police station. Upholstered furniture, stuffed animals. A girl with a hood over her head, in front of her a policeman. The five-hour interrogation is recorded.

“I still go to school,” says the girl in perfect German. “I was born in Damascus. In the summer of 2022 I was 15 years old and had a crisis with my parents. Lived in a facility. I met the man at the burger shop. He asked if I wanted to work. I thought in a bakery. I could live with him. We went shopping. He took pictures of me in my underwear. He said: From now on you are Lucy from Colombia and 20 years old. Get ready, we have an appointment! He took me with his girlfriend to a client.”

Also accused: Xenia K. (34), the friend of the pimp

The next day it was five – sold for 100 euros an hour! “They kept the money,” says the girl. One week, 3600 euros.

“I was exhausted, didn’t want that. His girlfriend threatened me with cell phone pictures of girls with their faces cut up. His mother knew everything too. They made sure I didn’t run away. On my birthday I told everything to a suitor. He was shocked, booked me for the whole night for 2000 euros and took me back to my parents. You thought I was on a school trip!”

Now the devilish trio is sitting in the dock: Srebin I. (20, detention), his mother Lidiya D. (38), his girlfriend Xenia K. (34). Accusation: Forced prostitution, pimping and aiding and abetting.

Judgment on April 17th.
