Sylvie Meis recently launched her very expensive collection of bags featured on Instagram and that is of course not very convenient. Where the common man leafs through advertising brochures in search of great offers, criminals scour Insta to see what the rich of the world are displaying. Sylvie did and now they have come to get it.

Really intense

Talk show host Renze Klamer treated it last night as breaking news. “News has just arrived: Sylvie Meis was also invited to the premiere of Barbie in Berlin this weekend and while she thought she could relax, 800,000 euros worth of jewelery and Hermès bags were stolen from her apartment in Hamburg.”

His sidekick Tina Nijkamp then in his talk show on RTL 4: “I find that really intense. You hear more and more that all those celebrities are being robbed.”

‘What is that?!’

Renze thinks it’s excessive that Sylvie has such expensive bags. “Luckily she wasn’t there herself. I thought when I read it: 800,000 euros worth of Hermès bags?! What are those things?”

Tina: “I’ve seen a report like this with her in the Beau Monde and magazines like that and her walk-in closet is about the size of my whole house.”

Renze: “Eight tons of bags! From one brand!”

Security

In the world of the celebrities is this quite normal, says film journalist Noa Johannes. “When you go to the Cannes film festival, there is also a lot of security for those expensive Cartier jewelry that they wear and may get stolen.”

Renze: “I hope she is insured. I don’t have a Hermès bag. Maybe better anyway.”

According to Evert Santegoeds, Sylvie has been spotted again after the burglary. “Without a bag. A wipe mark.”
