After her umpteenth break-up, Sylvie Meis receives some heartfelt advice from Yvonne Coldeweijer. The juice queen advises her not to drink anymore downdate. “You look like a monkey!”
The most recent love affair of Sylvie Meis (45) has already come to an end. She has been put aside by demolition millionaire Wim Beelen (48), which means that the female Gordon is single again. The painful thing is: with every new flame of Sylvie’s you now know that things are going to end – the only question is how long it will last.
Downdate
That Wim was a bit of an odd one out: he was not typically a man that Sylvie would fall for. She gave him a major makeover, but before that it looked like some kind of failed imitation of King Willem-Alexander. “Sylvie is downdating,” Yvonne Coldeweijer immediately concluded.
Downdating means dating someone who is seen as less than yourself; in this case Wim is significantly lower on the society ladder. Now Yvonne is right. “You don’t expect it,” is her response to the latest Sylvie breakup. “When you downdate because you desperate you are and even he doesn’t want you. 😂”
Wim refuses
The break comes from Wim. He writes on Insta: “A few months ago I met a nice woman. After two dates, someone had to report it to the press if necessary. We then took a crash course in getting to know each other and I quickly came to the conclusion that our lives did not match at all.”

What advice does Yvonne give to Sylvie now? “Just kidding aside, Syl, listen to me too! You shouldn’t downdate. You look like a monkey, because everyone sees you taking that exit and then you are too intimidating for such a person. He can’t keep up with your level at all, dude.”
