Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone was able to meet Pope Francis on Friday, September 8. The private meeting was also attended by Stallone’s wife Jennifer Flavin and the couple’s three daughters, as well as the actor’s brother Frank Stallone.
The Vatican Times magazine published a short video clip of the meeting on X (formerly Twitter). In the video, both parties seem to be very excited about the meeting. In the video, the pope tells Stallone that he watched the actor’s films, and Stallone humbly thanks him for arranging the meeting. Stallone is best known for his role as Rocky Balboa Rockyin the movies.
– We have grown up watching your films! The Pope told the actor.
– Are you ready? Now we’re boxing! Stallone answered the Pope and raised his fist.
The Pope responded to Stallone’s joke by air boxing.
