Bayer Leverkusen’s Adam Hlozek, who was announced in the afternoon, was in the Czech starting XI, his new teammate Patrik Schick, the second-best goalscorer of the Bundesliga season, was missing after groin surgery.
Jan Kuchta (11th) gave the hosts the lead, Noah Okafor (44th) equalized for the Swiss, who had six Bundesliga players.
Djibril Sow (58th) from Europa League winner Eintracht Frankfurt deflected a cross into his own goal.
