The Swiss national football team and Romania have made their participation in the European Championship finals perfect.
With a 1-1 (0-0) draw against Kosovo in Basel, the Swiss secured their ticket to the EURO in Germany next summer. Augsburg’s Ruben Vargas (48th) headed the hosts’ lead. Muhamet Hyseni (82nd) equalized.
The Romanians managed a 2-1 (1-1) win in Felcsut, Hungary against Israel to also qualify. In the second minute, Eran Zahavi gave the Israelis, who are currently unable to compete at home due to the Middle East conflict, the lead.
George Puscas (10th) equalized for the Romanians, Ianis Hagi (63rd) shot the Romanians 2-1 ahead. Romania has 19 points and Switzerland has 17 points.
