“Abramovich is currently trying to sell all his villas in England. He also wants to get rid of Chelsea quickly, so I and three others have been offered an offer to buy Chelsea,” said Wyss, adding to wait a little over a week to see how things develop.
“Abramovich is asking way too much at the moment. Chelsea still owe him a lot of money and Chelsea have no money. That means whoever buys Chelsea has to compensate Abramovich.”
Chelsea fans have already expressed their support for Ukraine.

Last weekend, Abramovich decided to take a step back as the British parliament threatens sanctions against wealthy Russians because of the war in Ukraine. Perhaps he hopes this will prevent Chelsea from getting into trouble. Abramovich is said to have close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who ordered his military to invade Ukraine last week. The wealthy Russian transferred the financial management to the Chelsea foundation, but remains the owner for the time being.
“I can well imagine working with partners at Chelsea, but first I have to read the terms and conditions carefully,” said Wyss. “What I can say is that I certainly won’t do something like this on my own. If I buy Chelsea, it will be with a consortium of six or seven investors.”
Abramovich bought the London club in 2003 and since then Chelsea has grown into one of the biggest clubs in the world. Last season the club won the Champions League.
