As expected, the water jumpers Christina and Elena Wassen were not able to take part in the fight for the medals in the competition from the tower at the World Championships in Japan on Wednesday (07/19/2023).

After five jumps from a height of ten meters, 24-year-old Christina Wassen took ninth place with 306.75 points. Her sister Elena, who is two years younger, jumped to tenth place with 293.95 points.

Victory goes to China again

As before, she secured victory in every water jumping competition at this World Championships in China. Chen Yuxi won ahead of her compatriot Quan Hongchan and Caeli McKay of Canada. To get bronze, you would have had to beat her 340.25 points.

Moritz Wesemann and Lars Rüdiger had previously reached the final in singles from the three-meter board. The 21-year-old Wesemann was fifth in the semi-finals, Rüdiger jumped to twelfth place and just barely reached the medal decision.
