Swimming World Championship: Leonie Beck wins silver over ten kilometers of open water

Leonie Beck won silver over ten kilometers of open water at the swimming world championships.

The Olympic fifth secured silver at the World Championships in Budapest after 2:02:29.7 hours in the photo finish. Gold went to Sharon van Rouwendaal from the Netherlands. Bronze went to Brazilian Tokyo Olympic champion Ana Marcela Cunha, who won gold in the 5K.

25 km European champion Lea Boy finished eighth. Both athletes had won gold in the DSV relay at the start of the competitions in Lupasee last Sunday. On Monday (June 27th, 2022) Beck had only finished fourth over five kilometers.
