Swimming – Sarah Wellbrock WINS over 1,500 m freestyle

Freestyle swimmer Sarah Wellbrock has confidently won the German championship title over 1,500 meters. Fabienne Wenske and Julia Barth came in second.

As expected, freestyle swimmer Sarah Wellbrock won the German championship title over 1,500 meters by a large margin and in a time well below her ability. The 28-year-old scored on Thursday after 16:29.25 minutes and won ahead of Fabienne Wenske and Julia Barth.

Top swimmer Sarah Wellbrock, who started under her maiden name Köhler before her marriage to open water Olympic champion Florian Wellbrock, was by far the best-known participant in Berlin on Thursday (June 23, 2022).

Her husband and the best other German swimmers are currently taking part in the World Championships in Budapest. Sarah Wellbrock is doing without the big highlights of the season this year because of her law studies. She holds the German track record of 15:42.91 minutes.
