The emergency services are looking for a missing swimmer in Overveen with all their might. The man had gone swimming in the Wed and disappeared without a trace around six o’clock tonight. At around a quarter to nine this evening, the man had not yet been found.
The police have called off the search and the man’s family is being taken care of. Multiple diving teams and other emergency services searched for the man in the water. An air ambulance has also landed on the beach. The beach has been cleared for the search and closed to the public.
According to witnesses on the beach, the brother of the missing man called the emergency services.
