Jacquemus and the Copenhagen homewear brand Tekla are launching a joint collection. The collaboration combines Jacquemus’ playful style with Tekla’s classic pieces, the French fashion house announced last Wednesday.
The range includes sleepwear, bathrobes, accessories, bed linen and towels in a striped pattern designed by designer Simon Porte Jacquemus for the joint collection and made from Tekla’s well-known percale, poplin and terry fabrics made from 100 percent organic cotton and French flax linen were made. A soft color palette of brown, blue and white tones and a removable canvas tag with the Tekla x Jacquemus logo completed the take-home collection.
“The collaboration between our two brands came naturally and spontaneously. I’ve always dreamed of developing a bedding and homewear line and Tekla is the perfect partner for it,” said Jacquemus. “I’m a big fan of the brand and feel like we move in the same universe and share the same inspirations.”
The French designer is known for his playful and sometimes dreamy design language. He also incorporates this into the details of his collection with Tekla. The ‘lovers’ towel has room for two, women’s bralettes and strapless tops are inspired by classic boxer shorts and the oversized belt on the bathrobes is a little reminiscent of a child wearing their parents’ bathrobe.
The collection has been available in the two brands’ online shops and in Jacquemus’ store on Avenue Montaigne in Paris since the end of November. The nightwear costs between 45 euros and 195 euros. Individual bed linen sets are available from 160 euros, double sets from 270 euros. The terry goods start at 125 euros.
