Two Swedish football fans were shot in Brussels on Monday evening. At least one of them was wearing a Swedish national team jersey.
The venue was a few kilometers away from the stadium where the European Championship qualifying match between Belgium and Sweden was about to start.
The match started normally but was interrupted during the break.
Expressen caught up with the person watching the match by Peter Lindqvist from the stadium.
– We have been told to stay in the stands. When we get to go, we only speak English, zip up our jackets and take a taxi.
Viaplay’s experts were evacuated from the grass to the interior of the stadium at the behest of the Belgian police, Expressen reports.
– We simply have to stop broadcasting, Viaplayn Jennifer Kücükaslan stated according to Expressen.
– This must be due to security reasons. We have to follow the instructions.
