Outright rare joint photos of the Swedish royal family were obtained yesterday. The family posed for the cameras in honor of Sweden’s National Day dressed in national costumes. On June 6, Sweden celebrated its 500th national day.

In honor of the anniversary, King Kaarle Kustaa and Queen Silvia organized a festive reception at the Nordic Museum in Stockholm.

In the photo, where the royal family poses in Swedish national costumes, all the royal couple’s children Madeleine, Victoria and Carl Philip with their spouses, as well as Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar are shown. The photos are rare, as the Swedish royal family rarely gets together.

However, the eye is fixed on one thing in the pictures. King Kaarle Kustaata did not smile in front of the photographers. He stood in line with a serious face. Even Chris O’Neill, known for his grim expressions, posed smiling in group photos.

The Swedish royal family may appear more together in the future, as Madeleine, who has lived in the United States for a long time, will move to Sweden with her family in August. The family settles in Stockholm’s Östermalm in the same house where Madeleine lived before. Madeleine’s children start school in Sweden.
