The Austrian crystal producer Swarovski has opened its first flagship store in Seoul and thus also in South Korea.
The ‘Swarovski Dosan Park’ store offers the brand’s jewelry in a 488 square meter sales area, Swarovski announced on Monday. This is spread over several floors, the facade of which is each illuminated in one of the brand colors of blue, yellow and pink.
In addition to the brand’s range, which ranges from crystal jewelry to watches and glasses to tableware and home accessories, pieces from film history are also on display there. These include the necklace worn by Marilyn Monroe in ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’ and the ‘enchanted crystal slipper’ from Disney’s Cinderella.
At the opening, Swarovski also collaborated with French artist Shourouk Rhaiem, who worked with Korean consumer goods such as instant noodles and soju bottles and decorated them with Swarovski crystals. The artist’s works are exhibited on the top floor, where there is also a dedicated Café Swarovski.
