SVZ surprisingly falls from Twedo and HODO wins again

3rd class B

SVZ won at HSC with 1-3 and that after a halftime score of 0-0. HSC took the lead after fifteen minutes in the second half, but the visitors turned the game around very quickly. Joost de Rooij and Patrick de Vries converted the deficit into a lead that was increased shortly before the end by De Rooij’s second goal.

Competitor Forward lost 2-4 to TLC at home, while the game between numbers 3 and 4 – Active against Muntendam – was cancelled.

SVZ is on 27 points after 11 duels and Forward follows with 25 out of 11. Active is third with 22 out of 10 and then Muntedam follows in fourth place with 17 out of 9.

Nieuw-Roden beats LEO, Asser Boys at the last minute next to last

In this 3rd class B LEO lost at home to Nieuw-Roden. Sander and Wilco Drent scored for the visitors, while Niels Manuputty scored for the home team.

Asser Boys disappointed on their own field by drawing 1-1 against ZNC. Just before time, Mark Koops saved the blue and whites from going down.

Asser Boys, Nieuw-Roden and LEO are above the relegation line, but the margin with ZNC (the number 13 and at the end of the stage the position of the direct relegator) is thin.

3rd class C

sv Twedo lost the lead in the 3rd division C due to a surprising home defeat against Sellingen. It was 1-3. The guests were already leading 0-2 at halftime. At 0-3 Jurben Visser saved the honor for Twedo. At that time, Sellingen was just inside the lines with ten men after a red (two yellow) card.

Musselkanaal took advantage of Twedo’s failure and took the lead again with a 1-3 win at Weerdinge. For Weerdinge, Dennie Pol scored the honorary goal at 0-3. Class top scorer Rolf Kayser scored twice for the green shirts.

The number 3 in this class, HOC, won with minimal difference from SVV’04. Richard Wiggers became the match winner after about half an hour of play.

Musselkanaal is on 25 points after 10 matches, Twedo follows on two points and HOC has 21 points from 10 games.

Pouring keeps on spilling

In this 3rd class C, VV Gieten wanted to score high this season, but the team of trainer Rolf Veneboer already seems to have no chance for a high final ranking. The red and white points also spilled out at home against FC Ter Apel ’96. Despite a 3-1 lead at halftime, there was no win. The game ended 3-3. Jort Jongejan, Marnix Kruize and David Modderman scored for Gieten.

Gieten is in 8th place with 11 points from 9 matches. Of course everything is still possible, but it is high time that the club that would love to make the step to the 2nd class will set up a series.

Bellingwolde is the best candidate for relegation in this class. So far, the red shirts have only scored 1 point (from nine games).

3rd class D

In the 3rd class D, all eyes are on HODO. The team of coach Eric Prins won again, after the Orange Black had already won on Thursday. As easy as it went on Thursday (0-4), it was so difficult against Ruinen yesterday. It was 1-0. Match winner was Patrick Timmerman. He scored after 25 minutes.

HODO’s pursuer, Oldeholtpade, escaped unscathed against vv Sweel. The Frisians won 2-1 on their own field, leaving the difference between HODO and Oldeholtpade four points. For Sweel, Rick ter Avest scored the connecting goal ten minutes after the break, after the home team had scored 2-0 shortly before. Despite a final offensive, Sweel did not manage to draw a draw, which means that the orange shirts remain behind in this 3rd division D. Sweel has 7 points from 11 duels. Oranje Zwart has 7 out of 10 and USV is just above that with 9 out of 11. One club is relegated directly from this class.

Ruinen, Protos and Dwingeloo can be found in the middle bracket. Fabian Bosker scored the only goal for Dwingeloo in the home game against Protos.
