Those responsible at FC Bayern are extremely satisfied with the performance and appearance of their number two in goal, Sven Ulreich. There are increasing signs that the Munich team will soon extend their contract with the veteran. In addition, the replacement could be offered a new job with the German record champions in the future.
Sven Ulreich will not only extend his contract with FC Bayern for another year, but will also sign a multi-year contract. This is what transfer reporter Luca Bendoni claims at the short message service X, formerly Twitter. The final details are currently being discussed and an agreement is only a matter of time.
But that’s not all: According to Bendoni, it is to be expected that the goalkeeper will work in the management of FC Bayern after his career and will therefore stay with the top Munich club for more years.
Loud shouts of “Ulle, Ulle” at Bavaria’s AGM
It has long been known that FC Bayern is seeking a contract extension. CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen had recently praised the new replacement several times in the highest tones, most recently at the record champions’ annual general meeting on Sunday.
When he described Ulreich as a “worthy representative” of Neuer and there were loud calls of “Ulle, Ulle” in the hall, the Bayern boss added: “I really hope that he has heard that now, then he will sign maybe a little easier for his contract extension.”
During FC Bayern’s Champions League game against Galatasaray, Dreesen also described the goalkeeper as a “fantastic person”.
Ulreich is very open to staying with the series champion. “I’m happy to hear positive words,” he recently admitted to “Bild”: “The last few weeks and months have shown how important it is to have a good position filled. I’m happy about the feedback . We’ll sit down for the next few weeks and see what happens.”
