SVBO from Emmen gets nothing with a draw against VV Jubbega

SVBO from Emmen remains in the middle of the First Division F after a goal-rich draw against the Frisian VV Jubbega. In Emmen the game went up and down, plenty of goals were scored, but the points were eventually shared: 2-2.

Jubbega took the initiative and took the lead through former pro Xander Houtkoop. The former player of FC Emmen, Heracles Almelo and SC Cambuur, among others, received the ball from Jacco Kuiper and stuck the ball in the roof of the goal to sign for the 0-1. The team from Emmen apparently needed that wake-up call, as it turned the game around completely afterwards. It first came through Mark Koopmans at 1-1 and just before half time SVBO took the lead: 2-1 . So it dived into the dressing room with a satisfied feeling for the rest.

However, it failed to maintain that lead in the second half. Kevin van de Belt scored the equalizer in the 54th minute. In the last half hour, the team from Emmen got away a few times. Menno Buding, for example, hit the post on behalf of Jubbega, but no more goals were scored.

Both teams get nowhere with a draw. Both remain in the middle of the First Division F, where the differences between the top spots and the relegation spots are minimal. Next week, the team will play against Gomos, which this afternoon won convincingly against Stadspark 1-4.
