SVBC and Buinerveen share the points in an entertaining duel

FOOTBALL – The top match in the Fifth Division D between SVBC and Buinerveen ended in an exciting 2-2. Leader Buinerveen seemed to be sitting on roses after a 2-0 lead, but SVBC came back spectacularly.

It was the last straw for SVBC to participate in the battle for the title. Buinerveen had three points ahead of SVBC before the game and played one game less. For that, profit was actually necessary.

Buinerveen the better team

In the first half Buinerveen was the better team. After ten minutes the 0-1 of captain Roy Feiken fell. Then the team of coach Willy Kral also created the necessary opportunities, but no goal was scored. SVBC’s only achievement was a shot that went just wide by Davey Geerts.

The match seemed completely over when Ozan Altun scored 0-2 just after the break. However, the match came back through a goal from Stan Bijl.

Instead of SVBC cheering extensively, there was a disturbance in front of Buinerveen’s goal. The referee gave Roy Feiken a red card. When he walked to the side, Feiken said that he was just trying to calm things down.

The red card ensured that the tension was completely back. The home team cheered when substitute Tim Geerts shot in a beautiful free kick. SVBC went looking for the win, but in the end it remained 2-2.
