SV Sandhausen and coach Danny Galm are going their separate ways from now on. The 37-year-old was released on Sunday immediately after the 2-2 (1-1) draw against SC Verl. Galm took over the SVS after relegation from the 2nd Bundesliga for the new season and won four games in 13 games. On average he collected 1.46 points.
“We believed in a successful performance under Danny until the end. Due to the lack of sporting success, achieving our goal is now at great risk. That’s why we now feel compelled to take this step. I wish Danny all the best and would like to thank him for his great commitment,” said sports director Matthias Imhof, commenting on the decision. Sandhausen is in eleventh place in the third division table and has not won in three games.
