SUV crashes head-on into bus in Davos: three Belgians (seriously) injured | Abroad

Six people were injured on Sunday morning in a head-on collision between an SUV and a scheduled bus near Davos, Switzerland. Three of them are in serious condition, according to the police of the canton of Graubünden. The Foreign Office confirms that there are three Belgians among the injured, no one is in critical condition.

A 27-year-old Belgian man and three passengers were driving from Davos towards Klosters when they suddenly ended up in the opposite lane. This caused the car to collide heavily with a bus. The cause of the accident is not yet clear, but images show that the road surface was covered in a thick layer of snow.

The three seriously injured people were all in the car. One of them was taken to the hospital in Chur by helicopter, while an ambulance was sufficient for the two others.

The fourth occupant of the car, the bus driver and a passenger were slightly injured. According to information from the Belga news agency, three of the four occupants of the car had Belgian nationality. The road remained closed for four hours.

The Foreign Office confirms that three Belgians were injured in the car accident, but no one is in critical condition. No further comment is made.
