Sustainability is rethought here

Energy independence, decarbonization and climate protection are currently among the most pressing issues of our time and one can say that a lot has happened on a small scale over the past few years. However, in order for sectors and industries to be able to keep pace with social and political change, innovations and sustained efforts are needed for transformation. This is what the Greentech Festival, GTF for short, is dedicated to, taking place from June 22nd to 24th under the motto “Together We Change” as a global platform for sustainability and green technologies. For the fourth time, it brings together start-ups and corporations, environmental activists and politicians, researchers and experts as well as consumers in Berlin. In 2022 this will happen for the first time on the new festival grounds of the closed Berlin Airport TXL.

With over 100 well-known and established exhibitors from companies, politics and business, as well as exciting pioneers from the sustainability scene, the GTF is showing a large number of products and ideas on a curated platform to promote sustainable transformation. Together for the future: With these and other measures, a high level of motivation and active cooperation, we can succeed in protecting our resources and stopping climate change. – Greentech Festival

Remarkable start

This year, too, the GTF will present technologies and innovations that can help us all to conserve resources. One example is intelligent electricity storage: Sonnen, a Shell Group company, will present innovative products and services to bring people closer to a new form of energy supply. “The exhibitor Airive is a game changer with a focus on mobility,” the festival organizers continue. “Business travel is essential – and often associated with high emissions. There is another way: With platform software for the structured decarbonization of vehicle fleets and business trips, Airive is making a contribution to the mobility revolution.” The platform analyzes the current CO₂ footprint, shows potential savings and makes concrete suggestions for climate-friendly vehicles including charging infrastructure and services.

The Greentech Festival wants to drive positive change and we can only do that together with the entire GTF community – online, but above all offline. That’s why this year’s motto ‘Together We Change’ – with this in mind, we invite all changemakers and thoughtleaders to come to Berlin and shape the sustainable transformation with us – Nico Rosberg, co-founder of the GTF, sustainability entrepreneur and Formula 1- World Champion

Awards, Conference & Exhibition

The Green Awards, which are presented as part of the Greentech Festival, are celebrating their 15th anniversary this year. In addition, “new, activating live experiences such as driving experiences related to e-mobility or concerts with great artists” are to be presented on a total of 10,000 square meters of outdoor space. Over 100 exhibitors will make the exhibition an interesting and entertaining place. The conference also invites you to discuss and learn.

“We are already looking forward to the Greentech Festival in June here in Berlin TXL. We couldn’t imagine a better event for the revitalization of Tegel. In particular, long-term planning over the next few years makes the Greentech Festival and Berlin TXL perfect partners.” This is how the former airport will become a hotspot for green technologies and a sustainable lifestyle, explains Gudrun Sack, Managing Director of Tegel Projekt GmbH, in a statement.
