Suspicious package in Vught turns out to be an incorrectly delivered e-reader

The suspicious package that was found on Saturday afternoon at Kleine Gent in Vught appears to contain an e-reader. The package was also delivered to the wrong address, an empty house. The e-reader came in a tape-wrapped box.

At the end of the afternoon the box was classified as ‘suspicious’. The police, ambulance and fire brigade then responded en masse. The Defense Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service was also called for further investigation, according to a police spokesperson. Two houses were evacuated as a precaution.

The street was cordoned off in a wide area and the public was kept at a great distance.
