A suspicious package was discovered last night at the Scheper Hospital on Boermarkeweg in Emmen. Several emergency services arrived on the scene.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service of Defense examined the package. In the end it turned out not to be dangerous material. According to spokesman Bart Raaijmakers of the Drenthe Security Region, there was reasonable doubt and the emergency services were therefore called and the package was then examined. It was not disclosed what was in the package.
