Suspicious death in restaurant in Sint-Idesbald: “All avenues are being investigated”

There is not much official information. Police and public prosecutor’s office provide little information for the time being. This morning the lifeless body of the manager, a man in his forties, was found. The prosecutor confirms that.

“It is a suspicious death,” said the spokeswoman for the public prosecutor’s office. “All options are open. The public prosecutor’s office has sent a medical examiner to the scene.”

The police and the judiciary are now investigating whether there was violence by third parties.

Meanwhile, the restaurant’s employees are responding to reports on the restaurant’s social media. “The restaurant will remain closed until further notice and all reservations will be cancelled. We appreciate your understanding and support during this difficult time,” it read.
