The match in the Kitchen Champion Division between TOP Oss and Jong AZ must be replayed. A suspended player participated at TOP Oss on November 11. It concerns attacker Toshio Lake, who should have served a suspension after five yellow cards.
TOP Oss only found out after the 2-1 win that it had made a mistake. “To our great dismay, we found after the game that one of the players who was at the cradle of that result should not have been on the field at all,” TOP Oss published on its club site.
“The club can therefore only apologize to both opponent AZ and our own supporters, sponsors and volunteers,” said the club that had just booked its fifth victory of the season against Jong AZ.
New date
Together with the KNVB, the clubs are now looking for a new date on which the match will be replayed. TOP Oss is eighteenth in the Kitchen Champion Division with sixteen points from sixteen games.
Attacker Toshio Lake is still suspended in the first game after the winter break.
