In March, five people of Iraqi origin were found in a refrigerated container in Zeebrugge. The victims, including children aged four and seven, were sitting on top of the load and were very cold. About a month later, suspected cases of human smuggling came to light again in Zeebrugge. A three-year-old child and his Iraqi family were in a new car coming from the Tournai region and being transported to the United Kingdom.
