Suspects arrested after car theft

In the Vanackerestraat in Wevelgem, a witness saw two men commit a theft at around 11 p.m. on Friday. First, the perpetrators tried to stop a car, but that didn’t work. A little later they can stop another car, it is an Audi A2. The perpetrators stop the car and forcefully remove the driver from the vehicle. The witness sees how the two men drive away with the car. The witness also saw that one of the perpetrators was bleeding profusely.

AZ DELTA MEANS

The Audi was spotted at the AZ Delta in Menen. The injured perpetrator needed care. Police found the stolen vehicle with the driver’s door still open. The car was smeared with blood. The police were able to catch both perpetrators in the hospital.

KNIFE STITCH

After further investigation, it appears that the perpetrator who was bleeding had been stabbed for the theft of the car. Three people were arrested. The further investigation shows that there was a fight among friends after a discussion. Two men walked out and stole a vehicle with threats and violence. They said they needed that vehicle to drive to the hospital.

The three men were allowed to dispose of after interrogation. They will have to appear in court later.
