A second body was found this morning in a parking garage on De Wittenkade in Amsterdam. Around 8 a.m. this morning, a woman was already shot dead in a porch on De Wittenstraat, within walking distance of the parking garage. According to the police, the second dead is believed to be the shooter.
The emergency services were called shortly after the first report to De Wittenstraat about a shooting in a parking garage on De Wittenkade. The parking garage is a 5-minute walk from the place where a woman was shot this morning.
According to several sources on the scene, the suspected gunman probably committed suicide. According to a local resident, the suspect fled through the courtyard of the housing complex.
The garage is closed for investigation. Men in white suits are present around the garage. Investigations are underway at both crime scenes.
