In India, a 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of killing four security officers in a week. That has been communicated to the police.

According to the chief inspector of the police in Sagar district, near the industrial city of Bhopal, the suspect wanted to “gain notoriety quickly”.

The suspect, who is called Shivprasad Prasad, is said to have killed three security officers in Sagar since last Saturday and then a fourth in Bhopal itself on Thursday. It is also in that city that he could be arrested.

When he entered the court, he held up two fingers in the V sign. According to ‘Hindustan Times’ Prasad did not radiate any guilt. He stays in a police cell for at least one day.

Police are now investigating whether he can be linked to other crimes. According to the chief inspector, he has already admitted to the four murders.
