Joost M. is suspected of involvement in the drama in Geldermalsen in which his wife Anna (38) and son Dani (6) were killed. He has tried to take his own life in his cell. “His condition is critical,” said the Public Prosecution Service. M. was arrested in the night from Monday to Tuesday near Paderborn in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
“The 40-year-old man who was arrested in Germany last Tuesday on suspicion of double murder and arson in Geldermalsen was found in his cell this morning after an attempted suicide,” said a spokesman for the Public Prosecution Service. “He is currently in a German hospital. His condition is critical.”
