The woman may have been dead for a long time before she was found. Dagblad van het Noorden reports that the suitcase ‘stank terribly’ and that the father of the woman heard from the police that his daughter had died a month ago. According to the family, the woman was already reported missing in 2020.
A friend of the victim tells the newspaper that the woman earned money as a prostitute and that she was involved in drug trafficking. Two of the couple’s children were removed from their home in 2019.
