The person who caused a house fire in Zaandam last Friday evening has not yet been caught. The police are therefore looking for witnesses. The damage sustained to the home is significant.
It all happened on Friday evening around 8.55 pm in a house on Jan Windhouwerstraat. The fierce fire destroyed a large part of the house there. Photos show the extensive damage.

Police say a forensic team is working to find out exactly what happened. Neighborhood research is also taking place. The police now suspect “that there is arson”.
No injuries
Residents of the house were not home during the fire. There were no injuries. The fire brigade was able to prevent further damage to surrounding homes.
