On Friday 21 January at half past four, an 84-year-old lady enters the bank office on Drongenplein in Drongen. Immediately after her follows the thief: a thin man with a big nose and dark stubble. While the lady is busy, he unnoticed stands behind her, up to his toes. That technique is called ‘shoulder surfing’. Many people are wary of it, but these surveillance images show how fast it can go. In a matter of seconds, the thief has read the lady’s pin code unnoticed.
