Surprisingly topical: open air spectacle shows reconstruction Diksmuide after WWI

Feniks is an impressive open-air multimedia spectacle, a combination of live music, images, theater and facade projections. Kobe Sercu, JackoBond, Bert Ostyn, Flip Kowlier and Stefanie Callebaut, among others, contributed to the project.

The spectacle may be about the city of Diksmuide, but the war in Ukraine makes the story surprisingly topical. Director Bart Cafmeyer also thinks so: “We really wanted to tell a story of hope. It is true that the war in Ukraine suddenly takes a completely different turn.”
